We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These parties are contractually bound to keep your information confidential and may only use it to provide services to us.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Poll data (including titles, slots, and participant responses) is retained while the associated poll is active. Hosts may delete their polls at any time, which will remove associated participant data.

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.

These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately at support@tallycal.com.

9. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

At this time, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As a result, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future, we will update this policy to reflect that practice.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding access to your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendments.

California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about them, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.

California residents also have the right to request deletion of their personal information, subject to certain exceptions, and the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information. As noted in Section 2, we do not sell personal information.

To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at support@tallycal.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
